We found ourselves in need of an urgent home repair after our garage was rammed into during a major cold-snap. Alyeska Builders had someone at our home to quote the repair within a day and gave us great advice on our options for claiming insurance. They accomodated us in their schedule quickly, as we were heading out of state on a vacation and wanted to have the repairs completed before then. Our new garage door was installed in less than a day and the crew left our space in excellent condition after the work was complete. I recommend Alyeska Builders! Alyeska builders truly has the most stream lined system of updates, photos and communication of any contractor I’ve worked with, they were on top of every question, patient with slow communication on my part and most importantly they did a simply fantastic job removing old decaying sealant from our concrete countertop and resealing it as well as installing a brand new sink! From the beginning of asking for the estimate, they are friendly and thorough, and its easy to see they know what they are doing. Then when the workers show up  they are quiet, hard working, skilled and professional, and leave a clean work space daily, I loved that.  Thru out the process I was updated daily with pictures and comments and then again weekly. the customer updates and contact is amazing, I was never left wondering what next.  The office staff is fantastic, when you reach out, they reply quickly.  All around the best customer service company out there when we seem to be falling into a world of poor service, its great to see that is not the case with them in any part of the process. My experience with them so far has been absolutely nerve racking!! If we end up doing any business with them, it will probably be the last time.?! So update Did not end up doing any business with them, damn could not even get them to return phone calls. Funny thing is once they found out that insurance was not covering any of the damage they would not return any calls , bad thing is we had the cash to pay for the complete remodel. I personally would not let them build a dog house. We had someone else do the bathroom remodel and it was over 40 k cheaper than their estimate!! I would not recommend them, I will never do any business with them!!

How long does a typical project take?

A standard re-roof or window package usually runs a few days to a week. Remodels and new builds depend on scope and season — we give you a start date and a target finish date in writing before work begins.

Can you work through an Alaskan winter?

Interior work like flooring, cabinetry and finish carpentry continues year round. Roofing, siding and exterior work are weather-dependent, so we book those early and plan the schedule around freeze-up.

Do you work with insurance claims?

We do. We’ll document the damage, provide a detailed scope your adjuster can work from, and coordinate directly with your insurer so you’re not stuck in the middle.
